Dayspring Farm | Birmingham Wedding Photographer | Trussville Wedding Photographer | Springville Wedding Photographer | Gadsden Wedding Photographer | Alabama Wedding Photographer

When your friend Megan Sisson asks you to shoot a wedding with her at Dayspring Farm in Springville… you always, ALWAYS say YES!! This wedding started out in total fear because a huge rain storm came in and wanted to ruin this gorgeous outdoor wedding. But this bride didn’t let it. She said she wanted to go through with it rain or shine under this gorgeous tree on the farm. And boy are we glad she did!! I hate to toot our own horn, but the team on this wedding is by far my favorite. We have coined the phrase, “Dream Team” for ourselves and I think it’s absolutely fitting. Dayspring Farm is one of my favorite venues to work at, working as Megan Sisson’e second shooter is nothing short of amazing, and the florals… oh the florals… The incredible Kristi Russell at The Wired Owl knocks it out of the park EVER. SINGLE. TIME. I mean look at that bouquet!! But I am absolutely so glad I worked with my amazing friend, Megan on this wedding. She is killer and I love her to death. Congrats to Camdon and Ethan!! You both took all that yesterday could give you and made the absolute best out of it all. Your wedding hands down is one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve worked. <3

Rachel and Lesty had a beautiful, small and intimate wedding at Christopher Glenn Inc. in Homewood, Alabama last month. They are so perfect for another and you can see the true happiness in their faces on their wedding day. Rachel was a gorgeous bride and I was so happy to capture their special day. I’ve known Rachel since we were young and to see her marry her best friend was so fantastic.

Rachel, Lesty, I pray many many years together for you two. I pray God is always the center of your marriage and that you both continue to do amazing things together. Again, thank you for allowing me to photograph your wedding day. It’s a huge blessing to be able to do this for you guys. <3

There might have been a little rain in Springville, Alabama at Mathews Manor yesterday, but that didn’t stop Brittany and Matt from having a fantastic wedding day! These two really know had to just roll with it! Everything was beautiful and thank the Good Lord above that it did stop raining for us to grab a few images of these two before their beautiful reception. And I might be a little bias, but having your wedding on May 4th and going with the Star Wars theme for the day is pretty awesome.

My prayer for this beautiful couple is that they continue to grow closer to The Lord and each other. That their 3 beautiful boys see what love is by the example they set for them by loving one another. That God’s love, peace, and grace is with them all the days of their lives.

Now introducing… Mr. and Mrs. Lyle!

When Michelle sent me a message earlier this week and asked would I be interested in shooting her adorable courthouse wedding I said, HECK YES. And I’m so glad I did because it was perfect. Seriously a huge Congratulations to this sweet family. The live between these two as a couple is magical, but adding in the live for their precious baby girl is just icing on the cake. Now, introducing, Mr. and Mrs. Howard! ❤️

I had such a great time yesterday at the Open House for Weddings at Cabin Bluff in Springville, Alabama. I invited a friend of mine and her fiancé to come and get photos of themselves in their wedding attire and it was so much fun. This venue is absolutely amazing, no matter what season! In the dead of winter here we are and the view and the colors are still AMAZING. Thank you again to Wendy Ryals and her family for allowing me to come and be apart of their open house and taking photos at their beautiful venue! Brides, get that wedding booked here as soon as you can! I know these spots are gonna fill up quick! How could they not? It’s beautiful!!

I photographed Ashton + Joshua at the always beautiful Birmingham Botanical Gardens for their engagement session. Their wedding is this fall and I only found it so fitting that the Gardens had this insanely gorgeous yellow tree. I love fall because of this reason, the insane colors.

I love capturing my couples just as they are in this moment of their lives. Only because when you look back on the photos together you will have grown so much over the years and your lives will be so totally different. New careers, new houses, new cars, kids, more kids, and with all of this comes time, wisdom, and growth in your love. Ashton and Joshua have been together for a while so I know they already see a strong growth in their relationship and themselves together and separately.

Finding the person to spend the rest of your life with truly is a God given gift. Embrace the journey and all that comes with it.

“But let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you. Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.“

Reynolds Maternity Session Preview | Birmingham Family Photographer | Avondale, Alabama

I had such a great time photographing Alex and Levi for their maternity session in Birmingham! They are like a breathe of fresh air. They just enjoy each other and life. I love maternity sessions. My new parents are always so fun to photograph. So much adventure in front of them and they really don’t know what their future holds but they are so excited regardless.

I love shooting in downtown Birmingham because even in the winter this location is so beautiful. Something is so magical about Birmingham in the winter. I am so glad so many couples choose this location. You can see from the photos how beautiful it truly is.

Hanna + Brian | Gender Reveal in Gulf Shores

Guys. This session! It was one of my favorites for sure. You put my two favorite things together: Beaches and Gender Reveals. It was so excited to find out that Hannah and Brian are having a sweet baby girl! This session was hot and humid for it to be a July beach session, but the weather was gorgeous! I looooved editing this session so much. Getting to know this family was so much fun and there is so much love here. <3
